When I closed the shop yesterday I noticed that the beautiful green and pink cashmere beret from my book was not sitting on the blonde wigged poly head at the front of the shop near the door.
It is nowhere.
It's been stolen from the shop.
I was so upset that I ate a whole packet of biscuits, thanks Juliet for bringing them. Craig and I are very sad.

That hat was soooo beautiful. I hope whoever has it drops a stitch and reads a chart upside down. May their sock yarn be acrylic and their needles plastic!

Oh no, that's awful! I'll keep my fingers crossed that maybe someone was trying it on and didn't realise they'd walked out of the shop with it on, and will soon get it back to you. You've had far too much of your handiwork go missing.

I feel with you. My central park hoodie was stolen outside the shop a couple of years ago. I'm hoping it wasn't a knitter. It's still pathetic but to have your work stolen by a fellow knitter.. arrgghh
That's really sad! It was that hat which inspired my mum to buy your book as a Christmas present for me. We both love it, and without the hat it might not have happened!
What b*****ds! I do believe that what goes around comes around so whoever it was will get their comeuppance! I trust it was double chocolate biscuits that you ate. Love Jacinta x

Oh gosh, did you call the police?
You never know, they might have some informatian what with cctv and everything. Why dont you knit another one as a trap. they might come back, and then you can get them.

oh how depressing. Keep this in mind tho, the thief, who I also believe cannot be a knitter, may be a truly sad and troubled soul with no control over themselves and you folks have a lifetime of beautiful knitting ahead and riches in abundance, try to be brave and not let things like this get to you. My allotment frequently gets broken into and this has caused similar pains. Resolve to make another even more beautiful and of course learn these tough lessons
